| Fullarton Woods |
Up with the gulls in Fullarton Woods. Caw! Caw! Swift and vicious, truthfully. First frost of the year. Crackle! Crunch! Crisp bright sunlight. The sky a cloudless blue. A lovely crimson light filtering through the tall trees. Small birds. Tweet! Tweet! Grey squirrels scampering. Scattered acorns. Is it true squirrels are tree rats? Not a red squirrel in sight. Rust, really. Lovely creatures. Extinct? Saw two last autumn tho' - one laced about the top of a lamp post, the other one near enough for me to reach out and stroke, almost.

Oddly - few leaves have changed color and fallen in the woods. Autumn is late and mild this year. The winds quite tame - bearing in mind the line of trees in a fixed arc out the road - a testament to how wild things can be. An interesting report from Afsaneh on Central Park, US of A - green leafy branches weighed down with snow! Weird. Climate change?

Attended 'A Day In The Death Of Joe Egg' at The Citizens Theatre, Glasgow, yesterday. A matinee performance. Although slow to begin - and was bored, first act - the cast delivered an excellent second half. Felt quite tearful at the end. Enjoyed a tasty Indian meal in Regent Street. The wine fruity and new.
Back at home by 9pm. Out on the patio for the distant sound of fireworks. Sophie hiding indoors. Later, the shadow of a giant cat across the garden. Bigger than a fox! Something similar occurred a few years back when baby hedgehogs were about. A dark shadow on the moonlit wall, a slow steady creep, a prowl! and then a sudden leap into darkness.. Eerie! I legged it indoors. Should we report such sightings to the council?
Mackeeper installed. Laptop less sluggish. Time to act on the phone tho' - Samsung Galaxy S11 not compatible with AppleMac OSX. Need to post photos. Install widgets, gadgets, images. Up grade the freebie blog!!
